Northlake Family,
Things are about to get exciting! I’m writing to share some important updates regarding our expansion building project.
Working closely with our general contractor, Structura, and the rest of the construction team, we believe we’re getting very close to having all of our permits approved. While they aren’t finalized yet, we’re confident that we’ve satisfied all the requests from Travis County and LCRA.
Walking in faith, we’ve made the decision to begin mobilizing construction crews. Here’s what this means for Northlake Church:
1. Temporary Relocation to Lago Vista High School PAC
Starting Sunday, February 9th, we will temporarily relocate our Sunday services to the Lago Vista High School Performing Arts Center (PAC). The PAC offers a larger seating capacity than our current facility, allowing us to host two services at 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM instead of three.
The move is necessary because the first stage of construction will focus on updates to our current facility, parking lot, and utility infrastructure in preparation for the new building on our south lot. Unfortunately, much of our parking lot will be inaccessible during this phase.
2. Children’s Ministries at the PAC
We will continue offering full children’s ministries at the PAC and are committed to maintaining the same excellence your families have come to expect during Sunday worship.
3. Weekday Activities at Northlake
All weekday activities and events will still be held at our main Northlake campus unless otherwise noted.
4. Timeline
Our goal is to return to our facility by Easter weekend, April 19-20.
When we return, you’ll notice some exciting changes:
New Restrooms for Children’s Ministry: The number of toilets will increase from one to eight!
Natural Light in Classrooms: Exterior children’s classrooms will have new windows installed.
Enhanced Front Exterior: The children’s ministry side of the building will receive a beautiful facelift.
Upgraded Parking Lot: A brand-new, fully paved parking lot will be ready for use.
5. Phase 2 Construction
Once Phase 1 is complete and we’re back on campus, Phase 2 will begin immediately on the south lot.
This season will require flexibility and commitment from all of us. It’s a lot of change, but it’s also a big step forward. Please join us in praying for this project and walking in faith as we move closer to the vision God has given us for our church family.
Thank you for your patience and support during this process. Watching the dirt move will be a joyous reminder that we’re one step closer to our new home!
Gratefully,
Pastor Denny
